Wilson-Max, Ken. L is for Loving: An ABC for the Way You Feel (published in 1999 by Chrysalis Children’s Books; republished by Scholastic). In this alphabet book presenting the range of emotions that children may experience, from angelic to zippy, each letter of the alphabet is sympathetically represented by a different human emotion. Both parents and youngsters will find that learning the alphabet has never felt so good, as this exuberant book illustrates both with gentle text and bold, full color brush-stroke pictures how we feel from A to Z. We checked L Is for Loving out of the library when our younger son Jeremy was learning how to read so that he could have extra practice.
