Linsdell, Jo. Fairy May (published in 2013 by CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform). Kids, if you could be anything in your imagination when you grow up, what would it be? “Once upon a time, in a land far away, There lived a little fairy whose name was Fairy May.” Fairy May wants to be the best tooth fairy you’ve ever seen, but she has problems with her teacher in school because she always gets things wrong. However, she buckles down to study hard and practice a lot in the time leading up to the big test. Will she be able to pass the test and become a tooth fairy, or will she fail?
This charming story, told in cute rhyming text with adorable illustrations all by Jo Linsdell, author of Out and About at the Zoo, encourages children by reminding them that if they will work diligently and do their very best they can achieve their goals. There is also a lot of good information about the importance of taking care of their teeth. At the author’s website you can find free downloadable activity packets for youngsters that consist of a brushing chart, coloring pages, and more. Two thumbs up to Fairy May for showing us how to realize our dreams!
