Jacobs, Jarrod M. Our Attitude From A Biblical Perspective (published in 2018 by Jacobs Publications, Morgantown, KY 42261). In the author’s note, gospel preacher Jarrod Jacobs tells us that the word “attitude” means “a settled way of thinking or feeling about someone or something, typically one that is reflected in a person’s behavior.” This small, five-lesson booklet, apparently intended for church Bible classes but also useful for home study and private devotion, explains why attitude is important and encourages us to examine our attitude in a number of areas. What is your attitude toward such things as God and worship, the Bible and truth, sin, self, and life?
Each lesson has fill in the blank questions embedded in the text and then thought questions for discussion at the end. The author’s note also tells the student, “Please use this book with Bible in hand. You will need it! In this book, we will study our attitude toward spiritual matters and challenge ourselves to have the attitude that will please God.” In addition, there is a supplemental teacher’s edition. Our Attitude From A Biblical Perspective is certainly an important subject for everyone to consider. David said, “I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart” (Psalm 9:1).
