Roush, Devin.  Why Am I Here? (published in 2018 by Gospel Armory Publishing, Bowling Green, KY).  How did I get here?  What am I?  Where am I going?  Why am I here?  These are not just matters that philosophers have wrestled with for centuries but questions that all of us have asked at one time or another. We want to learn more about our origin, identity, destiny, and purpose. How can we find what we need to know?  The Bible provides us with the answers we are seeking. It reveals where we came from, who we are, why we exist, and where we are going.  The five chapters of Why Am I Here? deal with the search for purpose and meaning in life.  What is this life all about?

Chapter one explains the Bible’s answer to this question.  The following chapters deal with trusting the Bible, understanding the problem of sin, obeying the gospel, and living by faith.  Most of the chapters have study questions embedded in the text.  The book would be good for young people, seekers of truth, and even new converts.  I do not know author Devin Roush personally, but we have some mutual friends who speak very highly of him.  The material in this short volume is designed to demonstrate the trustworthiness of the Bible and show, in easy to understand terms, what the Bible’s message is for us.
