Davoll, Barbara. Molehole Mysteries: The Upstairs Connection (published in 1993 by Moody Publishers). In addition to her excellent series of Christopher Churchmouse stories, Davoll has also produced stories of other creatures who live at Schroon Lake, presumably near where Christopher Churchmouse and his family live, called Tales from Schroon Lake, and about one of Christopher’s relatives named Dusty who is a mole and solves mysteries, the Molehole Mysteries. In one of the latter, The Upstairs Connection, the Molehole Mystery Club reaches a unanimous decision resolving to find out why Moles are becoming sick. Searching for clues, junior agent Alby sets out for Mossy Roots Swamp, and adventure follows! Other Molehole Mysteries include Dusty Mole Private Eye, The Hare-Brained Habit, and Foul Play at Moler Park. Still another series by Davoll is The Story Girl, including Winter on the Island, Wedding Wishes and Woes, and Midnight Madness and Mayhem.
